In early August, Benetti shipyard in Viareggio launched the 47-metre Bacchanal (FB703 project)
Designed for a Mexican owner who is choosing this Italian yard for the second time to build his yacht, Bacchanal has a small draft (2.45 m). The exterior lines are fully designed by the shipyard itself and the interior is the result of a close collaboration between designer Mauricio Gomez de Tuddo and Benetti Interior Style Department. The cosmopolitan style developed by the designer will be emphasized by the unique Italian furniture of such brands as Giorgetti, Rimadesio, Poltrona Frau and Exteta.
On the main deck, the saloon, cockpit and dining room are separated by frameless sliding glass doors along the full width of the hull, allowing to vary from open to closed zonal areas, creating a veranda filled with light and air. This feeling is enhanced by the use of a teak floor not only on deck but also in the saloon. The four-deck yacht is capable of accommodating 12 guests and a crew of 7. On the lower deck there are 4 guest cabins (2 of them VIP) and crew quarters. The captain's cabin and another VIP guest cabin are located on the upper deck, while the master suite with its own office occupies the entire forward part of the main deck. A custom-built swimming pool with Sicis mosaics is also available on the sundeck.
"Bacchanal" is equipped with a 3D sonar system to improve safety: it is able to detect a person overboard and provides information about obstacles and objects within a radius of 500 m from the yacht. The maximum speed is 14 knots, and the range of 4000 miles at 10 knots allows transatlantic crossings.
