Columbus Yachts, established by Palumbo Group in Naples in 2008, builds luxury steel and aluminium superyachts. Its first yacht, the 54-metre M/Y Prima (2011), introduced the brand internationally. Another celebrated vessel is the 80-metre M/Y Dragon (2019), with a gross tonnage of approximately 2,200 GT. A defining characteristic of Columbus yachts is their advanced hybrid and diesel-electric propulsion technology.
Exceptional individuality
Since its inception, Columbus has built 12 superyachts measuring 37–80 metres. Its projects are fully customized: no two yachts share identical layouts or interior designs. The yard offers classically styled yachts such as Columbus Atlantique and develops the explorer-oriented Columbus Crossover range, known for rugged looks, high autonomy, long range and an extensive selection of tenders and water toys.Production facilities
Columbus is headquartered and principally built in Ancona on Italy’s Adriatic coast. Its facilities form part of the wider Palumbo Superyachts group and occupy over 52,000 m², including three large specialized construction halls. A modern 60-metre shed has also been added, designed to accommodate the final outfitting of two vessels up to 110 metres long simultaneously. Projects are developed by Palumbo’s in-house engineering team, which also works on ISA, EXTRA and Mondomarine. The yard collaborates with internationally renowned designers and naval architects, including Hydro Tec, Francesco Rogantin, Guida Design and Luca Dini.
