Aberton Yachts and Bering Yachts are delighted to announce that the first hull of the Bering 165 — the flagship of our newly established Superyacht division — has been sold. The contract was signed with Aberton Yachts acting as the broker on behalf of the client. This milestone represents the strongest market endorsement yet for one of the most discussed explorer superyacht designs of 2025.

At 49.4 metres LOA with a 9-metre beam and 499 GT, the Bering 165 is purpose-built to redefine what a true transoceanic superyacht can be. She combines the legendary sea-keeping and autonomy of Bering’s steel explorer DNA with superyacht-level volume, refinement and luxury lifestyle flexibility.

Developed in close collaboration with Swiss studio Valentin Design (exterior styling & aesthetics) and Aberton Yachts (general arrangement), the B165 introduces a sophisticated five-deck layout that feels significantly larger than her length suggests while retaining full ocean-crossing capability.

“The sale of B165 comes as a major milestone for our young company and is particularly emotional as we are genuinely touched by the client's appreciation and deep understanding of the yachts integrate design. With a team, driven by the same passion and almost obsessive attitude towards achieving the best possible result, we are proud to have made a significant contribution to tomorrow's market.”

The B165 is powered by twin Caterpillar 1,300 hp main engines, giving a comfortable 10-knot cruise and a top speed of 15 knots. A 65,000-litre fuel capacity provides a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles at economical speed — more than enough to cross any ocean without compromise.

Stabilisation systems ensure outstanding comfort both underway and at anchor. The engine room is exceptionally spacious and future-ready, with ample room reserved for hybrid propulsion and a large battery bank if the owner chooses to go that route later.

Aberton Yachts’ general arrangement delivers one of the most intelligent and flexible 40-metre plans currently available: 5 guest staterooms + dedicated owner’s deck.

The owner’s deck is a private sanctuary of nearly 70 m², with a full-beam master suite, large en-suite, walk-in wardrobe, separate study/lounge, private pantry, dumbwaiter service and a secluded aft terrace with sunbeds, Jacuzzi, sofa and coffee table.

The bridge deck combines navigation with social spaces: indoor-outdoor lounge, sit-up bar, day head and open-air cinema with firepit. A private crow’s nest lookout on the hardtop offers 360° panoramic views — perfect for stargazing or simply enjoying the horizon in solitude.

"Collaborating on the project with Bering Yachts and Valentin Design was a unique experience for Aberton Yachts. Over the course of a year, the three companies set ever-increasingly ambitious goals, found solutions, and balanced them, resulting in what we believe is one of the finest explorers in the <500GT class. Aberton Yachts poured all their expertise and knowledge into this project, with the sole goal of designing a vessel with a well-thought-out, comfortable, and logical layout for guests and crew. The result: a highly competitive yacht in the marketplace with outstanding and unique solutions. We sincerely believe in the success of the Bering 165 in the very near future."

The rapid sale of hull №1 confirms what the industry has already begun to sense: the Bering 165 has struck a chord with experienced owners who want genuine autonomy, generous volume and contemporary luxury design. Discussions for additional hulls are already underway.

As demand for meaningful, yachting lifestyles continues to grow, the B165 positions Bering Yachts at the forefront of the next generation of explorer superyachts — vessels built not just to impress, but to travel far, stay long, and feel like home anywhere on Earth.
