The Italian Overmarine Group, building yachts under the Mangusta brand, announced the sale of the second hull of the Mangusta GranSport 45 model, also known as Project Amalfi. This 45-meter yacht of the Fast Displacement series combines both high speed and long range performances. Delivery of the yacht to the customer is scheduled for 2020.
The customer, an experienced yachtsman, has chosen this model for operation in the Mediterranean, as he may need to quickly move from one location to another, but also to make long-range, quiet cruises in autonomous mode: the technical features of the Mangusta GranSport 45 allow to do both.
“When a new customer joins the Mangusta family, he knows that he is going to find exactly what he is looking for,” comments Mangusta’s Commercial Director Francesco Frediani. “Many of our Owners have kept choosing us over the years, growing alongside us and, more recently, showing great appreciation for our new lines too, as proven by the sale of 10 Mangusta Oceano and Gransport units in only three years since their presentation”.
Designed by Alberto Mancini, the Mangusta GranSport 45 features a contemporary and very Italian style, with a simple basic layout that is easy to adapt to various customer needs. The main focus is made on the open deck spaces and their smooth transition into the interior. For example, the living room on the upper deck opens up both towards the stern and the bow with an open lounge and a jacuzzi with lawn chairs. Another feature of the Mangusta GranSport 45 is the aft beach area of a new format. Moving the garage for the tender towards the bow has allowed to create a huge space: two terraces rotate and connect with a central platform with direct access to the sea.
