The Dutch shipyard Heesen has announced the sale and start of construction of its 67-meter superyacht Project Sparta. The new yacht is based on the 66-meter Avanti project: the shipyard first presented her in September 2018 at the Monaco Yacht Show and attracted the attention of the future customer - Project Sparta is due for delivery in 2023.
Sparta The steel Fast Displacement Hull Form yacht, which is able to reach a speed of 16 knots with moderate fuel consumption, is the third project sold by Heesen 2019. For the moment, the shipyard has total 13 yachts under construction.
Project Sparta has a strong bow, a beautiful transom and a stepped aft deck area to be equipped with a 5-meter infinity pool. The sundeck will also feature a jacuzzi. Winch Design Studio, responsible for both the appearance of the yacht and its interior, decided to use the raised pilothouse type, creating a new sporty profile and outlining the features of the Heesen’s next generation yachts.
Sparta has an exceptional interior volume for the yacht of her size. Together with the spiral staircase, all the decks are serviced by a glass elevator. Sparta can accommodate up to 12 guests in her unusual layout. 4 guest cabins are located on the bow of the main deck. A sliding partition allows to transform two of them into one full-beam VIP suite. The upper deck is at the owner’s disposal alone and includes two suites – one suite is located forward and one faces aft. Both of them have access to private open decks and dining rooms. The lower deck has the galley and a cabin for staff and crew of 16. There is also a wellness area with jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and gym. Tenders and water toys can be stored in the forward garage with gull-wing doors.
