On April 1, early in the morning the 93-meter Lady S yacht left the new Feadship shipyard in Amsterdam as she was put to the sea trials.

The building process originally took place at the shipyard in Kaag, but later the yacht became the first inhabitant of the new facility, which will receive many other Feadship yachts in the coming years.

For Lady S the sea trials are the second voyage. The first one became her relocation from Kaag to Amsterdam a few weeks earlier. It was a difficult and carefully planned operation: a 14 m wide yacht had to carefully pass along the inland waterways of Holland and cross numerous bridges. The transportation team had to apply all their many years of experience to deliver the yacht safe and sound through narrow channels with a few centimeters of free space left. However, during the sea trials, the captain and crew of Lady S got much more pleasure when this powerful yacht appeared for the first time in the waters of the North Sea. As you can see in the photos, Lady S in operation is an impressive sight.
