The stunning Oasis by Benetti shipyard found the first customer in the person of American athlete Tim Ciasulli - World Champion offshore powerboat racer with 4 World Speed Records.
The new owner of this unusual 40-meter yacht commented: “I’ve been going fast my whole life, so when it came time to build a yacht, I wanted to collaborate with a shipyard that shared the same core values that my wife and I believe in: integrity, passion and accountability! Plus, we didn’t want – another – job, so it had to be quick, easy and fun. We expeditiously negotiated a great deal, and in just two meetings, nailed down the equipment, interior decor and colors…just the way we wanted! They are real professionals, at every level, and made the yacht buying experience a really positive life adventure!”
Oasis 40M is an innovative and ambitious project of both Benetti and the British studio RWD. The interiors were designed by the New York City – based studio Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture. The yacht’s distinguishing features are wide spaces, large glazed surfaces and unusual layout. The stern has a beach club with an infinity pool and lateral platforms that can be open out to provide direct access to the sea.
“Size does matter, and nobody has got the yacht building process more streamlined than Benetti”, comments the owner’s representative, Captain Mike Wyer. “Benetti is the reliable Italian builder to deliver the yachting dream”, added John Jacobi, Broker at Merle Wood Associates, firm that closed the deal. “This project will be the envy of most. Undoubtedly, many others will be inspired to build their very own Oasis."
The assembly of the first Oasis’ hull and superstructure has been completed, and the shipyard has now begun to install equipment. The yacht will be delivered to the customer in summer 2020.
