Ancona-based Italian shipyard ISA has announced the launch of its new range of large Continental yachts and introduced the first two engineering platforms 65 and 80 m long for the custom-superyachts of its new range. Both projects - Continental 65 and Continental 80 – are designed by architect Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design; their hulls and superstructures are made from steel and aluminum respectively, with glazing ribbons providing a panoramic view in all the main areas.
On top of that, CONTINENTAL 80has opening terraces in the central part of the main and upper decks. Another feature of the model is the right-angled hull-wide infinity pool located aft that has a containment wall formed by two glass plates with water flowing in between them. The spacious recreation outdoor area near the pool extends from the beach club located on the lower deck. The beach club itself is equipped with a bar and a huge TV screen: an open transom door provides a fantastic view from the stern. Being closed, this door forms a black trapezoid, one of the CONTINENTAL line’s distinctive features, displaying the name of the yacht and windows invisible from the outside that flood the interior with natural light.
The upper deck with master cabin and private saloon is designed for the owner only. The touch & go helipad is also located there: this allows helicopter passengers to enter directly the master cabin, which ensures a complete confidentiality. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 passengers in 7 staterooms, and up to 19 crew across 10 cabins. According to calculations, the ISA Continental 80 reaches a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots with a range of 6,200 nautical miles without refueling.
Similar in design, but featuring more dynamic lines, the
CONTINENTAL 65 can also accommodate up to 12 guests, but in 6 cabins; another 9 cabins are designed for 16 crew. She is a little bit slower with a top speed of 16 knots and but its cruising speed is higher (14 knots) with a range of 5500 miles. The impressive swimming pool aboard this yacht is visible from the stern with a full height glass wall on the opposite side, which serves as a backdrop for the waterfall. The beach club includes a spa center with sauna and massage areas, a lounge area and a bar with impressive lighting. Another exceptional relaxation area is located on the flybridge – jacuzzi for up to 8 people with panoramic sea views.
