In the past four weeks the Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has announced the sale of two 44-meter hulls of its Flexplorer line.
The exterior of the Flexplorer 146 with a powerful seaworthy hull ready for any challenge was designed by Sergio Cutolo / Hydro Tec. The main concept of the vessel is to maximize usable space on board without exceeding the 500GT. As befits an explorer, there is enough space on board for an impressive collection of water toys, including a large tender. Two 746 kW Caterpillar C32 Acert engines and 60,000 liter fuel tanks allow for a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
The contract for the third hull was signed at the end of November, and the vessel will be handed over to a big fishing lover from Switzerland who already owns several sport fishing boats. Nauta Design will be responsible for the elegant and discreet interiors of the hull, corresponding to the brutal external profile. There will be four guest cabins on the lower deck, while the master suite located forward on the main deck, will be equipped with an office, dressing room and large bathroom. The main saloon features an asymmetrical layout.
News about the signing the fourth hull came a couple of days ago. The yacht has been commissioned by a young American owner. The interior designer has yet to be announced. Guests will be accommodated in six cabins, six more for the crew. The large double cabin on the main deck transforms into a home study room or studio if needed. The master suite has a private aft terrace and lounge area with a cold pool.
The Flexplorer line is characterized by the highest level of flexibility in terms of layout, options, equipment. “In the 100/150 feet market, customisation is a much-abused word and behind the ‘winning’ formula the reality is that the owner can just choose veneers, fabrics and few minor items. We decided to stress the customisation to the limit offering our international clientele a concept within which each owner can build together with us his own Flexplorer,” - Vasco Buonpensiere, CDM Co-Founder and Director of Sales & Marketing said.
