A Legend of Italian Yacht Building
Riva was founded in 1842 when Pietro Riva established a small boatyard in Sarnico on Lake Iseo, Italy. The brand achieved worldwide recognition through its iconic wooden speedboats, including the Ariston, Tritone and legendary Aquarama, introduced by Carlo Riva in 1962. Today, Riva is part of Ferretti Group and produces luxury speedboats, flybridge motor yachts and superyachts ranging from 8 to 54 metres, remaining an enduring symbol of Italian elegance.Timeless Design
Riva’s contemporary portfolio includes the open Aquariva, Rivamare, Dolceriva and Diable models, Sportfly performance yachts, the flybridge Diva, Corsaro Super and Bellissima series, and the steel superyachts of the Riva Superyachts Division. Since 1994, the entire range has been developed in collaboration with Officina Italiana Design, founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta. Recent achievements include the Riva 82’ Diva winning a Motor Boat Award in 2025 and design recognition for the Riva 58’ Capri and 112’ Dolcevita Super. The brand’s distinctive appeal lies in its unmistakable aesthetics, impeccable finishes and dedication to traditional craftsmanship. Riva has transcended the yachting industry to become an international symbol of luxury and the Italian lifestyle.Production and Technology
Riva operates three production facilities in Italy: its historic Sarnico shipyard covering 49,378 square metres, a manufacturing complex in La Spezia and its superyacht division in Ancona. Modern composite and metal construction technologies are combined with meticulous handcrafted finishing. Riva’s signature wooden elements still undergo a traditional 24-stage varnishing process inspired by Carlo Riva’s techniques. Innovations include the fully electric El-Iseo, introducing a new era of E-Luxury. Future projects include 54-metre and 70-metre superyachts, expanding the brand’s presence in the large custom yacht segment.
