Shipyard Nautique Boats

American shipyard Nautique Boats (part of Correct Craft) builds legendary towboats for wakeboarding, wakesurfing and waterskiing in Orlando, Florida. The brand’s history began in 1961 with the acquisition of rights to Leo Bentz’s fiberglass hull, and its first model was the revolutionary Ski Nautique. The boats’ defining feature is their iconic, precisely shaped wake. In 1957, Bentz designed and built his own boat prototype with wider hull lines to minimize the wake. The most revolutionary step was using fiberglass instead of wood. It was the world’s first dedicated sports boat with an inboard engine.

The Gold Standard

Nautique boats are regarded as the gold standard, providing benchmark wakes at major international waterskiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing championships. The shipyard holds exclusive long-term agreements with leading international sports federations, including the IWWF (International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation) and WWA (World Wake Association).

Collaboration with World-Class Pro Riders

When developing new models, Nautique designers actively involve renowned professional athletes from the Nautique Athlete Team. Stars such as Shaun Murray, Sean Silveira and elite waterskiers spend hours testing pre-production prototypes. Their feedback directly influences cockpit ergonomics, tower height, control placement and final wake-shape tuning.

Bestselling Models

The current range includes the premium Ski Nautique series for waterskiers, versatile GS crossovers, the legendary Super Air Nautique wake series (G21, G23 and G25), and the luxurious Paragon flagship. The yard relies on its in-house design studio and hydrodynamics engineers, working with star pro riders to refine its boats. The Super Air Nautique G23 has remained an industry benchmark and bestseller for years. The brand’s latest projects regularly win top honors: the flagship G23 Paragon and G25 Paragon have received multiple Boat of the Year awards from Boating Magazine and WSIA for exceptional luxury, premium design and innovation.

Production Facilities and Future Outlook

The shipyard produces around 2,500–3,000 boats annually at a state-of-the-art facility in Orlando covering more than 28,000 sq m. It holds dozens of patents and proprietary developments. Its main technology focus is integrating the Nautique Surf System (NSS) with WAVEPLATE plates, the patented Configurable Running Surface (CRS) hull and an asymmetrical dashboard. Future plans include developing fully electric propulsion systems through subsidiary Ingenity Electric and maximizing AI-powered wake-control automation.
