Male
The capital of the Maldives, Male, is the smallest in the world, only 2.5 km long and 1 km wide. Surprisingly, it is the only Maldivian city. One of the main attractions of Male is "Good Friday" or "Huskuru Miskiiy" - the majestic and main mosque of the country, decorated with a sparkling golden dome, which includes the Islamic Center. The Mulee-Aage Palace is worth visiting, built by Sultan Mohamed Shamsaddin III and today it is the presidential apartment.
Vakarufahli Beru Nila
Vakarufahli Beru Nila is a fantastic white sand atoll located in the south of Ari Atoll, in the Dhigurashu Channel. The depth ranges from 12-30 m, and the length reaches 300 m. Black, pink, and yellow corals look especially beautiful against the background of the same colorful tropical fish.
The nearby Kudarah Nila Reef is a Marine Protected Area and consists of four large coral formations of various shapes and sizes. This is considered to be one of the best diving spots in the Maldives.
Maamigili Beru
Maamigili Beru is an outer reef located in the very south of Ari Atoll. The population of Ari Atoll is mainly occupied with hunting for turtles, making sails, and collecting and engraving corals. Maamigili Beru is known for seeing whale sharks. The top of the reef is located at a depth of 7 m, and the walls covered with hard corals go down to 30 m.
Rasdhoo Atoll
Rasdhoo Atoll is an ideal place for snorkeling and diving at any season. The beneath-water world of coral reefs is amazing: many tropical reef fish live here, and you can see huge moray eels and sea turtles.
Bandos
The beautiful coral island of Bandos in the North Male Atoll area is covered with lush tropical vegetation, and numerous palm trees are surrounded by a wide sandy shore with crystal clear blue lagoon waters. Here you can fully enjoy the sun and the sea.
Meerufenfushi
Meerufenfushi is a beautiful lagoon with impeccable sandy beaches, located in the east of North Male Atoll behind the barrier reef. This is an ideal place for sunbathing and swimming, where you can get away from the noisy metropolis, plunging into the peace and quiet of palm groves and small cozy beaches with soft, gentle white sand.
