The British shipyard Sunseeker International will premiere its two new models at the autumn European boat shows.
The 12-meter Hawk 38 will be on display at The Cannes Yachting Festival boat show (September 10-15, 2019), and this will mark the return to the Sunseeker’s racing roots: founder of Sunseeker International Robert Braithwaite was a power boat racer. The new futuristic boat can reach over 60 knots, while the Sunseeker claims that the boat is totally safe, but also highly manoeuvrable with comfortable motion. The fiberglass hull is combined with inflatable Hypalon 866 STAB® tubes and has 2 Mercury 400R outboard engines on the transom.
According to racing traditions, the boat has a cocoon-shaped cockpit, while a beautifully resolved ventilated glass extends to a carbon fibre hard top. The console unit is fitted with a 16-inch Simrad Evo 3 touch screen multifunction display with GPS and on-board systems data. Four pilot racing seats with shock absorbing mitigation allow to either sit or stand comfortably, thereby giving a helmsperson freedom to fully explore the limits of the boat’s performance. Yet, Hawk 38 is well-suited for relaxation: the foredeck is complete with a sunbathing pad with elevated fixed headrests, and at the stern there is a comfortable sofa with the possibility for two drawer fridges and a carbon removable table located under.
Alongside the new Hawk 38, at the Cannes boat show Sunseeker will be also showcasing its other models:
